James Selby

James joined the Board of Capital Football in March 2011 and has a strong personal and professional involvement in both Football and sport in general. 

He has had roles in Football administration in Queensland and at national level predominantly in the areas of technical development, participation and coach education. He has held a variety of positions with the Australian Sports Commission in the areas of inclusion programs and junior sport and is currently a Senior Sports Partnership Manager.

James spent a number of years living and working in Scotland where he held positions in event management and sports development. He has been a volunteer in a number of roles in football as well as worked with a National Soccer League club and coached at regional and state representative level.

James’s other international experience is centred around working with FIFA during the Sydney 2000 Olympics and doing consultancy work for a FIFA confederation and a National Federation in Asia.
